yadgopīvadaneṇdumaṇḍanamabhūtkastūrikāpatrakaṃ

yallakṣmīkucśātakumbhakalaśe vyāgocamindīvaram

yannirvāṇavidhānasādhanavidhau siddhāñjanaṃ yogināṃ

tannaḥ śyāmaḷamāvirastu hṛdaye kṛṣṇābhidhānaṃ mahaḥ

The face of Krishna, which resembles the moon and is adorned with musk and sandalwood paste. The dark blue sapphire-like chest of Krishna, which shines like a blue lotus and is adorned with a garland of wildflowers. The pure essence of enlightenment, which the yogis attain through their spiritual practices and meditation. May that glorious name of Krishna, which is dark and resplendent, reside in our hearts.

The king of poets, who has composed the nectar-like songs of Radha and Krishna's enchanting amorous pastimes, I bow to him always, who is the dearest beloved of Padmavati.

I offer my salutations to the great teacher Jayadeva, who is renowned in the world as the ocean of mercy and is constantly immersed in the bliss of worshipping the lotus feet of the Lord of Radha (Krishna), who is adorned with exquisite gems and whose divine form captivates the hearts of devotees.
